GFA Program Manager

The  Program Manager  is responsible for managing administration and delivery for FamilyFarmed’s Good Food Accelerator program (including Market Access Program activities). The  Program Manager  will report to FamilyFarmed’s Chief Operating Officer and will supervise the GFA Program Coordinator while collaborating with program consultants and other FamilyFarmed staff.
 
To be successful in this important role, you need to be comfortable facilitating and creating knowledge-focused programs that depend on the contributions of volunteers in order to be able to provide support to Members/participants. You also need to successfully drive Member recruitment and retention, lead cohort programs and activities and ensure Member and volunteer satisfaction. Ultimately, an excellent Program Manager should be a strong teacher/facilitator and a strong manager with an ability to solve problems, proactively identify opportunities and a talent for building strong relationships within FamilyFarmed and its external stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities: Good Food Accelerator (70%)
  • Facilitate all GFA activities and events, including cohort classes
  • Create and manage curriculum, including instructor engagement
  • Create events and activities that support Member objectives
  • Provide support, coaching and issue resolution for GFA Members
  • Recruit and retain the volunteers that provide critical subject and industry expertise
  • Identify, recruit and engage Members
  • Facilitate business counsel for Members
  • Track and report key metrics
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for GFA’s volunteers and other stakeholders
  • Ensure quality and performance metrics are consistently met or exceeded

Market Access Program (20%)

  • Formalize and manage the retailer-focused program
  • Recruit and retain local retailers
  • Facilitate workshops
  • Provide support, coaching and issue resolution for program participants
  • Track and report key metrics

Other Activities (10%)

  • Supervise GFA Program Coordinator
  • Contribute to FamilyFarmed’s community and industry engagement activities
  • Special projects as assigned  

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s level college degree (education, non-profit and/or business preferred) or relevant work experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in non-profit program management or relevant field
  • Experience developing/enhancing curriculum and learning offerings
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate classes, events and activities to encourage participation
  • Ability to identify new ways to expand stakeholder service and satisfaction
  • Strong commitment to details and program execution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing people
  • Experience using processes, tools and metrics as foundational management tools
  • Demonstrated collaborative mindset
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines in an evolving program
  • Performance management and coaching experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong MS Excel and MS PPT skills
